Why There Is No Single Price
Anyone searching for kitchen cabinets price in Pakistan will find very different numbers, and they are usually not comparing like with like. A price depends on the material of the carcass, the material and finish of the doors, the hardware, the countertop, the size and layout, and the installation. Ask for the price of a specific kitchen, in writing, with the materials named.
The Main Cabinet Materials
Solid Wood
Solid wood looks natural, can be refinished and repaired, and lasts well when properly sealed. It is also the most sensitive to humidity, heat and cooking steam if the finish is poor, and it is usually the most expensive option.
MDF
MDF is a smooth engineered board that takes paint, laminate and UV or PU finishes very well, so it suits modern, clean-fronted kitchens and gives the widest range of colours. Its weak point is moisture: edges and areas near the sink need good sealing, and a water leak can swell the board.
Aluminium
Aluminium kitchens do not swell, rot or attract termites, which makes them a practical choice for humid kitchens and for wet areas. The style options are different from wood or painted MDF, so look at finished examples before you decide.
PVC
PVC cabinets resist water and are generally a budget-friendly option. Quality varies a lot between products, so check the board thickness and the edge finishing.

What Drives the Price
- Carcass material and thickness: a thicker, better board costs more and lasts longer.
- Door material and finish: solid wood, painted MDF, laminate, UV and PU finishes all price differently.
- Hardware: hinges, drawer channels and lifts are small items that decide whether cabinets still work smoothly after years.
- Countertop: often a large part of the total, and priced separately from the cabinets.
- Size and layout: more running feet, tall units, corners and an island all add cost.
- Accessories: pull-outs, corner solutions, bins and organisers.
- Installation and site conditions: uneven walls, plumbing and gas positions and access all affect the work.
How to Compare Quotes
- Ask for the carcass material, thickness and door finish for each quote.
- Ask for the hardware brand and type.
- Check whether the countertop, backsplash, hood and installation are included.
- Ask for finished kitchens you can see, not just renders.

Caring for Each Material
- Solid wood: wipe spills quickly, avoid standing water near the sink and re-seal the finish when it wears.
- MDF: keep edges sealed, fix leaks at once and avoid hanging wet cloths on doors.
- Aluminium: wipe with a mild cleaner and avoid abrasive pads that scratch the finish.
- PVC: clean gently and avoid direct contact with very hot pans or the heat from the oven.
Questions to Ask Before You Order
- What exactly is the carcass made of, and how thick is it?
- What finish are the doors, and how does the edge behave near water?
- Which brand of hinges and drawer channels do you use?
- Is the countertop, backsplash, hood and installation included in the price?
- Can I see a similar kitchen that is a few years old?
- What is the schedule, and what happens if the site measurements differ?
Warning Signs of a Cheap Quote
- A single price with no materials listed.
- No mention of hardware brands.
- No site visit or measurement before pricing.
- No example of finished work you can see in person.
- Unclear terms on what happens if there are defects.
Which Material Should You Choose?
- Humid kitchen or heavy daily cooking: aluminium, or well-sealed MDF with quality edge finishing.
- Warm, natural look and long life: solid wood with a durable finish.
- Clean modern style with many colour options: MDF with a laminate, UV or PU finish.
- Tight budget: PVC, if you choose a good-quality product.
